Gossip is when people invent or tell something that is not true and everybody starts listening it and becomes a gossip.
Regulary adults spend between one fifth of their conversational time gossiping, but only 5 percent of that time on negative gossip.
The media has a huge impact on society and also in public opinion. They can shape the public opinion in different ways depending of what is the objective.
Gossip destroys another's reputation, whether intentionally or accidentally. The most famous excuse for gossip: "I only mentioned it because I was mad." If being mad excused gossip, 90% of all gossip could be justified.

Also gossip is a bad use of information, always gossip is bad because when you use good the information it becomes social communication dut is not gossip
